A little about Roméo Nahon
| Roméo Nahon
Programming is a tool, creation is my passion.
Everything started quite modestly. I’ve been around computers for as long as I can remember, at a time when the only free games available were on obscure websites, mostly consisting of Flash games. As I grew, around the age of 13, I decided to create my first games using software called ‘Gamedevelop’ (if my memory serves me right), building them block by block. Limited in scope but nonetheless effective, I created small side-scrollers with no real purpose other than my own amusement.
Then, around the age of 14, I started learning to code in C. It was extremely difficult, and I went back and forth between giving up and starting again until I eventually discovered Unity 3D when I was about 16 years old. That was the turning point for me.
It was just as challenging to learn as C but far more rewarding, as I could finally see a real visual representation of what I was creating.
From that moment, I decided to give it my all and make it my profession. At around 18, I joined Epitech, where I spent three years deepening my programming skills while continuing to improve with Unity and video game development in general. By the end of my third year, I managed to land a job in the gaming industry. As studies are meant to lead to employment, I seized this opportunity to begin pursuing my dream.
